There are non-antibody tests that can be used in your situation (if indeed your situation is accurate).
Please Create a Forum for "Primary Immunodeficiency Disorders' and this is where 'Hypogammaglobulinemia' should be listed. Thanks!
I agree with you there...
It's not an HIV concern and it doesn't belong on this forum. This is an HIV Prevention Forum.
What was your exposure, it's been a while...
if you cant spell it you dont have it
Let people post there questions and concerns here without being subjected to your embittered mantra to move on..open dialog is always welcome as far as i'm concerned. People don't come here to be turned away by you Teak, if you have something to say that is MEANINGFUL to the poster then by all means say so, otherwise....uh.
like i said keep reading also dont start new post havent you noticed when you reply it moves back to the top quit playing these games i got this i got that what you got is a mental problem get over it
if you had hypogammaglobulinemia you would be getting sick alot, you would constantly be battling infections. why do you think you would seroconvert on feb 12 , what is special about that day
You can't look at your body and see that you have an enlarged spleen. If you had a problem with your spleen and it was causing trouble they would remove it. You don't need your spleen.
Because you don't have HIV that's why you didn't test positive. Now move on.
Hypogammaglobulinemia makes your spleen enlarge. that bulge on my side a few months ago was there. it was big. real big. i swear.
no ,, i have not been sick. i . i took the hiv test and it came back neg that was at the 4 month mark. so , anyways i waited three weeks and tested again and it came back neg. so i was tying to figure out why its neg. this is why. anemia. i bet if i test now or i should wait til feb 12 and it will be pos. i tying to figure why i have not become pos as of yet. and its not because i am neg.
So you been diagnosed with hemolytic anemia? Good, it's not an HIV concern. You can move on.
who diagnosed you with this, people who have this disorder are sick alot.
keep researching thats your best bet the more you do the higher that anxiety and stress will build up eventually you will explode
What is it?
Hypogammaglobulinemia is a disorder that is caused by a lack of B-lymphocytes and a resulting low level of immunglobulins (antibodies) in the blood. Immunoglobulins play a dual role in the immune response by recognizing foreign antigens and triggering a biological response that culminates in the elimination of the antigen. Antibody deficiency is associated with recurrent infections with specific types of bacteria. In pure B-cell disorders, cellular immunity generally is intact and the frequency of viral, fungal, and mycobacterial (e.g. tuberculosis) infections is not increased. There are 5 major types of immunoglobulins: immunoglobulin G, immunoglobulin M (IgM), immunoglobulin A (IgA), immunoglobulin D (IgD), and immunoglobulin E (IgE).
Autoimmune disease - Rheumatoid arthritis, vitiligo, hemolytic anemia,
thrombocytopenia, and neutropenia
Malignancy – risk of certain malignancies is high
Growth retardation in those with early-onset recurrent infections
How is it diagnosed?
Some tests that indicate hypogammaglobulinemia include:
Low serum immunoglobulins and B lymphocytes
Missing specific antibodies to any vaccines the child has received
Absence of antibodies to A and B blood group antigens
