did you read any of the forum before posting?
apparently not or you would have read that hiv is not transmitted through oral sex
are u 100 percent sure?? because im young and super scared,, should i get tested??
You never had a risk and do not need to take an HIV test.
ok,, but now just today,, my gum feels kind of funny,, right in between my teeth and my tounge,,
thanks so much!!,, and thanks for being nice and patient with me,, i really needed that
ok,, guys,, now i have a small bump on my penis,, might even be 2,, now what!?
See a Dr, it has nothing to do with HIV.
Just wondering guys just out of curiousity, how can someone NOT get HIV from swallowing semen infected with the virus?? The virus is going into your system is it not, so therefore i would imagine there would be a risk...... what is the difference between infected semen in the vagina or anus to that of the mouth??? I am confused.
Saliva has proteins and enzymes that deactivate the virus. In the vagina and anus there are mucase membranes that the virus can attach to and infect. The mouth is very inhosbitiable due to the saliva and other common bacteria. There has been studies done where 1 person HIV+ and the other HIV-. They had protected vaginal and anal sex but unprotected oral sex. Over 10 years and 19,000 cases of oral sex no new infections.
Studies speak load.
But do you think saliva deactivates ALL virus that comes to mouth?
You have that spanish study but you have also other studies that say the oposite. Why that study is better than the others?
I find that study better because other studies were after reports. Meaning people after they were infected spoke of there risks and several of those just based on the numbers were deemed to be flawed. They were also not long term studies.
The Spainish study took 10 years and followed up with tests I believe every 6 months. It was on going and not after reports.
Also a SF study backs up the Spanish study.
I think it deactivates enough that anything left would not be a cause for concern.
Thanks Vance.
At least you take time to explain.
it really confuses me though, because if you google it, this is the only website that says oral sex is no risk, every other website says it carrys a risk..
just found both those studies you talked about, good job on referring to real sources.
http://www.aidsmap.com/page/1414855/ shows that the risk for oral is 0.18% for oral.
http://www.aidsmap.com/page/1414272/ 19,000 cases of unprotexted oral sex and no transmission. this near or less proves that hiv isn't transmitted via oral sex. should put a lot of peoples minds at rest.
