latex condom reliability after using Fresh+ oral sex mints

Hello,

I have been dating a woman for a couple of weeks and she recently gave me a protected blow job before protected sex.  However, she used these mints called Fresh+ (from Brazil) before giving me oral sex.  Fresh+ mint strips are meant to enhance oral sex by creating a sensation like fire/ice or bengay and they are like listerine breath strips.  I had a condom on, but while she was giving me a blow job I could feel the effects of Fresh+ mints (their full name is Fresh+ folinhas).  After she gave me a brief blowjob we had vaginal sex with the same condom.  I started wondering/worrying that if I could feel the effects of the Fresh+ mints through the condom, does that mean the condom failed and became permeable? The condom did not break and I otherwise used it correctly (filled it with water afterwards).  What are my risks for HIV (if my girlfriend is positive)? Did these mints eat through the condom? There is some mint and peppermint oil in the ingredients and I know you shouldn't use oil-based lube.  I'm very scared now and feel like I had unprotected sex using a condom.  The full list of ingredients are as follows:

Corn polysaccharide
licorice
vitamin C
peppermint oil
mint oil
carrageenan thickener
citric acid acidulant
xylitol
artificial sweetener
artificial coloring

Thanks. P.S this site has wealth of information and is great!

Thanks, Teak.  You provide an invaluable service through this website.  I found it very strange that i could feel the effects of the mint while I was wearing a condom.  I guess I figured if the mint could get through so could everything else, but it sounds like I was in a very low risk situation.

No. Not that would cause a failure. If you are wondering if condoms can get small holes in them and not be noticed the answer is no.

Thanks for your input.  Is it possible for chemicals to weaken a condom's ability to protect against STIs without breaking?  I found very mixed results to that question on a couple of medical forums.

Had the condom failed you would have known without a doubt. When condoms fail they fail catastrophically.

I realize this, but I also had vaginal sex with the same condom

Oral sex isn't a risk of HIV transmission even without a condom.
