Your antibody test is negative. A value above 1 would be positive and yours is well below that. The Western Blot, which you didn't need, is also negative, and confirms that your status is negative. This will close this discussion.

my test result show
western blot
hiv 1- negative
hiv 2- negative
but the
hiv antibody 1&2 screening 0.18 >1 is getting me confused..
i just want to know the result are negative or not ?
vance
i understand , but is the result negative ?
You took the wrong test. Take an antibody test.
as you told WESTERN BLOT can be a conclusive test at 12 weeks, so here are my results !
i hope this one is a clear cut negative !
plz help me to interpret western blot result
hiv 1 - negative
hiv 2- negative
then hiv 1 & 2 antibody screening 0.18 index >1.0
IS THIS WESTERN BLOT test meant to be negative ?
Means you took the wrong test, have an antibody test done at 3 months.
plz now as it is done , plz tell wether the test result are conclusively negative or not ? what does that 0.18 suggest ?
You had no reason to have a western blot test done, that is a confirmation test from a positive antibody test.
any one plz help me to interpret western blot result
hiv 1 - negative
hiv 2- negative
then hiv 1 & 2 antibody screening 0.18 index >1.0
what does it mean ?
i dont know why did u post a warning ?
did u read the original post of mine ..? was that a no risk situation or a negative conclusive result ?
do u think i need no more testing after the exposure i had ?

but CDC guidelines states oral being a risk & also some other forums also states so..
if the CSW has hiv what are the chances of aquiring it via ORAL ?
already went for a western blot today ! results would be out by a week .. so will the test be conclusive ?
Receptive oral is No Risk behaviour everywhere
also another query.. dat day i had received oral too from the csw, but your forum consider it as a risk free event ! so ? is that the case that i shouldnt consider it as any risk for hiv ? i had vdrl test @ 8 weeks & it was negative.. any chance of hiv from that ?
why do other forum beleive that there is a chance of aquiring hiv by oral ? plz clarify !!
thanx diver..
what test i should go for after 12 weeks ? western blot would be conclusive ?
