maculopapular rash?

Now, I know I've been told I am not at risk, I'm coming to accept this.  My question is a general ARS question, and maybe having it answered would help other worried wells like myself.  The maculopapular rash that comes with ARS.  Does that typically stay?  Or is it the type of blotching which disappears and reappears with heat?  Yet doesn't feel like anything?  Appreciate input.
