it's crazy that the risks associated to the chances of getting HIV differ from country to country, also the times when a test result should be considered as accurate. I think the best solution when someone is in a situation like me is not to trust the internet but trust an experienced doctor or people like here who know what they are talking about! thank you again for your help!
you are right thank you but you know the more you hear from different sources the more you go into fear and after I read in a german board that vaginal secretion definitely is capable of transfering the virus I more or less freaked out...
Read the disclaimer on Wikipedia. WIKIPEDIA MAKES NO GUARANTEE OF VALIDITY
Wikipedia is not a reliable website to gather information about Hiv,infact it's quite poor.Accept the facts and know that you never had a risk. All the best.
Dear Teak, I first read it on wikipedia in this article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-penetrative_sex
afterwards I did an extense google search which made the problem intense for me:-(!
I'm sorry you did not read that anywhere. Frottage is not a risk of contracting HIV.
thanks again...wow that is a big difference to what is stated over here in Europe! I read many publications that say that the risk to get infected through rubbing a penis on a vagina is still high due to the body fluids that can easily enter through the penis. So even if I had vaginal secretion on my penis I can still be assured that the risk was low? She also used some sort of lubricant and I thought maybe that lowers the risk as well because it's disinfective?
correct...you had NO risk
thank you again for your comment! Even if you do that for a long period of time you think there is no risk in regard to HIV transmission?
with the sensitivity of today's tests...hiv infection is showing up earlier than ever. with that being said...the "official" guideline still requires 3 months for a conclusive result.
once again...you had NO risk
thank you Lizzie for your comment! What do you think about my time frame of 45 days regarding the AB test for HIV-2. Would an infection show up after that or does HIV-2 need longer to produce AB due to the fact that it is less infectious?
hiv is not transmitted outside it's host...period !
Dear Lizzie, I know that, however the sources here in Europe say that there is a risk and it is considered a risk contact, especially when you do it over a longer period of time! Also a part of my problem is that there are so many sources that tell you different facts:-(!
transmission requires penetration...it takes place INSIDE the body, when a penis is INSIDE a vagina / anus.
