potential HIV exposure

16 days ago Iwa in Thailand and had sex with a sex worker (lady boy) I was a bit drunk, just remember that I had a condom, but cannot tell that for her (can't remember). I was also a reciever. After 40 hours I went to the first clinic and they gave me PEP (TenofovirDF, emtricitabine + lamivudine). The clinic looks very unprofessional, but it was my only chance. I didn't do any hiv or std test, a month before the exposure i had HIV test which was negative. After few days I had a mild sore throat, i still have it, i don't have fever, running nose, rash or anything else. My questions are..
1) Is this good combination of drugs (TenofovirDF, emtricitabine + lamivudine), I read somewhere that emtricitabine and lamivudine are the same?
2) Should I do STI test while I'm on PEP?
3) Can the sore throat be some other infection symptoms?

Thank you for your time.

You can take a 4th generation test at 28 days post exposure.

and i used comdom all the time, but not sure about the ladyboy
The only risks for HIV from sex are unprotected vaginal and anal, so if your last sentence means a condom was always used when you inserted or was inserted then you had zero risk. It doesn't matter what the LB did with others if you had protection.
You wasted your time testing and taking PEP which is not something anyone should be on unless there was a real risk because of side effects.
You need to educate yourself about HIV risks instead of just throwing a mountain of anti-virals into your body because your throat hurts. Your doctor seems incompetent but we can't diagnose you from here and you have no medical training so you can't either.

You need to see a doctor if your throat has a serious issue otherwise wait for it to go away.
I guess we didn't understand each other.
While I was penetrating him i was wearing a condom, but while he was penetrating me i dont know if he wore a condom. So because he is a sex worker there is always a chance that he is a hiv positive and there is a risk.
I know that i overreacting and hunting symptoms, but i have a girlfriend and dont want to put her in any danger because of my stupid mistake.
Sorry for my english, that's my second language and sorry for bothering.
If he didn't use a condom then you need to test. You must use protection until the results come, so you can't risk your gf health. maybe lie and say you heard a flu virus can be spread by sex for a month. She likely won't be accepting of the truth or that you have risked her health so far, so think it over in advance. Whatever you do, do not risk her health by not using a condom.

There is no risk from HIV from oral sex. You can get std with a condom so you can check out the std forum for that info.
I haven't had sex with her since i was exposed. That's alredy confusing to her.
What about my PEP is it alright? TenofovirDF, emtricitabine plus lamivudine?

Your first sentences are missing some words. Did you just have oral sex? Did you use a condom all the time if you didn't have oral?

Everyone gets sore throats so obviously it doesn't prove anything about HIV just because you have a sore throat.
