If you are JUST active orally, you dont need to worry about HIV. As the symptoms go, fever (101+) sore throat, and body rash are the most common symptoms and they tend to happen around the same time. You having just dry cough is not a primary symptom for HIV. You can get tested at 3 month mark (after your last sexual exposure, not including oral sex), and the result would be accurate.
Classic ARS symptoms appear 2 to 4 weeks after infection and include, very high fever, very sore throat and rash on trunk--torso and limbs. You need not worry however if oral sex was all that you engaged in as it is a zero risk activity for Hiv transmission. All the best.
Thanks
I only do oral so lets hope all is well
Sorry for the extra question but I have read again that dry cough is an indication of ARS as posted above.
My question is have any of you found more info on a dry cough than that which I posted above?
I am off to the Doc. today but this cough is very unusual. Can't sleep at night and very dry.
what's the report sign mean?

I paid and got a polite answer from Dr Hook and feel much relieved. I don't know you or your policies but seem to me you need to lighten up.
Please except your NO RISK assessment and kindly move on with your life. You don,t have an HIV concern.
