semi-protected oral at massage parlor - scared to death

I am a newbie on this forum so please go light with me if my question is dumb.

This past Sunday, I lost my head and went to an asian massage parlor in SF bay area. The attendant was an older lady, in her 40s I would say. After a brief massage I lost my head and went for a protected oral to be performed on me. The attendant could barely speak english but excused herself to leave the room, I believe to get a condom. When she returned i didnt see a condom package in her hand. She had a towel folded in her hand. I imagine it was in there. She then proceeded to give me a handjob and soon after whipped out a condom that was already out of the package, which freaks me out as I dont know whether she opened it from a package outside the room before bringing it in or whether it was a previously used condom. How often does this happen at these places?

Anyhow, she quickly proceeded to put the condom on me with her mouth and because she was working me with her hand pretty fast I came within 3-5 seconds of her putting her mouth over my penis. There wasnt even enough time for her to get the condom on fully before I came. I recall that my fluid leaked out of the condom and I don't know whether it was because the condom wasnt fully on or whether it was used and hence broken.

I ran to the washroom to clean myself off. I washed my penis in the sink and then showered when I got home.

This was this past Sunday afternoon. Since then I have been feeling uneasy with some nightsweats, tingling sensations around my face and feet and my GI tract seems to be off as I am a bit gasy. I also feel like a bit of a sore throat/cough is coming on. Its day4 since the episode and I am terrified about HIV.

Can someone please assess my situation about the risk and whether if the condom was previously used how much of a risk I have of catching HIV. I appreciate your help.

Move along, you never had an exposure and it was explained to you why. You're freaking out over nothing. Get a grip on yourself.

Relax ! You were never exposed to HIV risk. Oral sex is safe, even if it is done without any protection and with a +ve partner. Sexual routes for HIV transmission are, Unprotected anal and vaginal sex

Thanks for the comment. Now, what about the condom? I dont know whether it was a new condom or whether it was reused because she got it from outside the room and I didnt see otherwise.

Say if the condom was contaminated/used and had fluids on there from her or someone else. Putting that condom on me for a few seconds while I ejaculated and then taking it off exposes my tip and foreskin to the contaminate. Can someone please comment about this risk? Can hiv survive inside a condom and if its reused on someone else what risk do they face.  Thank you.

You ever try to put back on a condom? You won't either.

teak, I have never tried to put back on a condom. I guess it is possible to roll it back. These parlors can be shady places and I know I lost my mind by putting myself at risk, which is why I am terrified and have found this forum for support. I'm really concerned about the risk of exposure here.

No exposure.

Please teak can you elaborate why you feel that way? I know you are a trusted member of this forum from my brief search but it would be comforting to know why you feel that way. Appreciate it. Thank you.

Why because you cannot contract HIV in that manner. HIV does not stay active outside its host.

Thank you, so what about if the fluids were inside the condom which is not really exposed to air (similar to a syringe where hiv can remain active).

I am terrified that my symptoms are the onset of ARS. Oh boy, what a mistake. I had a mental lapse and I put myself at risk. I am so sad and terrified right now.

I am really in panic mode right now. I am fatigued, tingling, GI movements are out of place, sore throat, just overall not well and think its ARS onset. This is day 4 after event (past Sunday).

Say if vaginal fluid or semen was on the inside of the condom used on me? That would put me at risk for infection I would think. Teak says this isnt the way transmission occurs but how far fetched is it to think that if ur tip is exposed to secretions inside a condom then that could lead to transmission. I just don't understand the hiv is unable to infect outside the body. I can get that if it was hours or days outside but lets say it was a minute at most or even several minutes. The fluid hasn't dried and what about the HIV that is deep in the middle of the fluid. It hasn't necessarily been exposed to air since its in the middle of the fluid. If that were to come in contact then what? It could lead to infection, which is why I am terrified. Please help me. Thank you.

thank you Joggen. I am trying to calm myself but what about the details I provided? the fact that virus deep inside the fluid is not exposed to air coming in contact with me. Now I feel burning sensations around my penis and its worrying me. I appreciate your help.

Nature will not change the rules of HIV transmission for Mr. helpbay exclusively. HIV will not be active outside its host, only once, Mr. Helpbay.  Enough data, statistics and information is now available on HIV transmission after the discovery of the virus, some 3 decades ago.

Relax and get the fear of HIV out of your mind. Consult a doctor for your health complaints, not due to HIV

I hope you are right. I very much hope.

Its day 5 since and I feel so unwell...  cough/sore-throat, tired, tingling. I'm afraid its ARS. :(

I do recognize that I am afraid - very. I want to move past this but I keep having flash backs to the exact events. Thinking about the state of the condom, and how my fluids leaked through. I am pretty sure that was because it wasn't on fully before I ejaculated and the contact with her mouth must have been 3-5 seconds maximum.

This was last Sunday. I think I wont get past this until I test. What time frame should someone like me test to get an indication?

I appreciate your help.

You shouldn't test at all and it's not recommended.

But teak, I've been so fatigued. Its day 7 since event. I've been sleeping all day this weekend. Sweating around my neck and can't seem to shake the fatigue. I was super energetic the week before but that was before the incident. I really don't know what to make of this why this week my concentration levels = 0, super agitated, sweat around the neck at night, tingling, and muscle twitching in hands and feet and excessive tiredness.

I have many many times. Then what is the cause of what I am feeling? there is a major difference between last week and this week. I know stress and anxiety might play a role but can it be 100% of it?

Yes, stress and anxiety can produce all of your symptoms. I experienced similar symptoms when I was waiting for the results of a medical test. It is a common phenomenon especially on this forum.

I think I am losing my mind. The symptoms continue as its day 8 since event. How early can ARS systems appear? Things started at day 3-4 and have become worse.  I barely could keep my eyes open yesterday but not sleepy today (yet).

Moreover, my mouth/throat has that taste you get when you are sick (flemy).

I was reading something Dr. Hook said about a situation where the condom was flipped and possibly had contaminated fluids and said there was a small risk. So if the condom she used on me was contaminated then this is a similar situation. But no one here comments on that part? I appreciate your help.

Vance2335, I have read it. Its just that the possibility of what I describe about the contamination that has me freaked out. I never saw her open the condom (she didnt do that inside the room) so I dont know whether its new and the fact my fluids leaked out concerns me that it might have been used/broken.
