Thank you i apreciate it truly
Saliva is not infectious and contains over a dozen different enzymes an protiens that inhibits HIV transmission. HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host (unlike many bacteria or fungi, which may do so under suitable conditions), except under laboratory conditions; therefore, it does not spread or maintain infectiousness outside its host.
I understand that it is blood borne. But i thought that saliva directly to my cut (blood strea) would have been a risk.
HIV is a blood -borne not air- borne.
No risk--sneezing on someone with a cut is not a mode of transmission.
Thank you. I am focused on bone fractures. And they never taught us about hiv. But we were breafed before treating him on some precautiouns. Please assure me on the sneeze on my cut part also.
You're a doctor & you don't know that you never had a risk?HIV is not transmitted via sneezing & you definately don't require nPEP.No risk.
