Hallo,
Had unprotected sex with positive women, for 5 months ( year 2009 ) Had ars symptoms. Tested with 2 test with tridot(10min) india and remaining with done with purchasing kit resulted negitive at 2,3,4,5 months. After then I marriaged. I never tested,again tested 6,7 months negitive (6 month with lab)
8 months resulted positive in ghana with other kid.so I was upset and tested in other lab with spot test ( written on paper) resulted negitive.
StiLl I have taken wb which resulted reactive for three band on same day - this is on 8  month ( year 2010). Now afraid to test more.
1. My wife has symptoms like cough/sorethroat most of the time and only fever once.
- is it hiv releted.
2. Why different kid shows different result, like checked positive and in othe lab with spot test negitive.- Is any sub virus presisits.
I am afraid of hiv 2 virus of slowai progress.

You have tested negative at 7 months and if you didn't engage your self in any risky behavior in that interim, your 8 month positive is just a false positive. Indeterminate WB does happen, the question is - did you engage in any risky activity post your first exposure?

THIS is why we don't advise people to over test, because eventually, chances are their luck will run out and they will get a false +, causing all kinds of grief.

You tested past the 3 month conclusive period, meaning you did not have HIV.  If you did not have any exposures since that time, your tests are false positives, some people have indeterminate WB results and always will, that may be the case with you.

You never needed testing, if you didn't have any more exposures, you would not have any reason to test, you need to let it go.

Sir, I have not done followup test.
3,4,5,6,7  months tested negitive with.  rapid kit.
8 month tested positive rapid test and.        with wb intermediate with 2-3 band at 8 months. Then I have not tested again. I have bronchitics and fatty liver

You don't have HIV. False positives and indeterminate on WB happens but as long as your follow up test is negative, you are fine. Please move on.

Some members are saying that rapid kit is equal to elisa.
I tested positive 8 month with rapid test and wb indeterminate at 8 months.
I tested negitive negitive at rapid test

Rapid test r nt reliable it can give false positive result.for your relief have n elisa or some standard antibody test.wb is intermediate nt stating u positive.u will be negative

You over tested which in turn you had a false positive. You never needed to test out 8 months.

So you over tested and tested at 8 months and had a positive test and a positive WB test? After all of those negative tests?

I didnot had any exploser, but I am tense who come I got wb at 8 months with positive rapid test.
Is all kid are different from each other.
Some kids detect positive, same time other kid in other lab negitive, why it happens

Unless you have had another exposure, then your tests results are conclusively negative.
