3 months past

I had unprotected sex with a bar girl, within 2 weeks I developed a sore throat and fever which passed after taking antibiotics. Since then I have suffered with bad skin (itchy scalp, spots on back, arms, legs etc) which comes and goes, but doesn’t seem to clear no matter what I do. I have seen a dermatologist several times and he doesn’t seem to think this is related to HIV infection, he says that this is eczema.... I have been HIV tested four times since the encounter, the most recent 3 months after possible infection. Should I stop worrying or should I go get another test after 6 months? I have read many articles and some say 3 months sufficient, others say minimum 6 months. If I hadn’t developed the skin problem, I wouldn’t be worrying after the 3 month test.

I read that it takes on average 5 - 8 years for HIV infected people to develop problems such as fungal and/or baterial problems, if this is the case i will put this issue to bed? The reason i ask again is that I was on vacation and developed a rash all over my back which hasnt cleared after about 3 days. I seem to get these often when i am exposed to high humidity which makes me sweat. I dont know if this is common with people who have excessive sweating.

Thanks for the feedback. I read on several sites that HIV infected people are prone to bacterial and fungal infections i.e. folliculitus. It was about 2-3 weeks after the encounter my scalp got itchy and i developed itchy spots on my legs, waist, back etc. These come and go, and i still havent found a cure..... It may be that this is due to stress and the climate, i live in south east asia where it is hot and humid everyday - not good for a european.... well if the 3 month test is pretty much conclusive then i guess i will join a skin forum :) Thanks.

your 3 months test proves that you DO NOT have hiv..
your skin prob is due to somethin else NOT hiv
no further testing required
