You never had an exposure. HIV is not transmitted by oral sex.

And to clarify, it is this site's stance, based on studies and our own MedHelp experts (all of whom are world-renowned for their work in this field), that oral sex carries no risk for HIV.

We can't tell you what to believe, but we can tell you that our forums aren't a venue for debate over our stance that oral sex carries no risk for HIV. Our stance will not change unless we receive definitive scientific evidence to the contrary.
You don't have to wait at all since you did not have a risk for contracting HIV.
But if you must test in the future then 3 months is the window period. Not 6.
Thanks. I read testing is not warranted, but I rather be sure. I wouldn't matter that I ive in Mexico? What about the generation of the test?
Doesn't matter where you live nor what generation test you take.
Thanks Teak.
Testing at 3 months then, expecting it negative and then I don't have to ever think about it right?
aka, it will be conclusive at three months no matter the country I take it or wether it's generation 1?
Please plase answer me.
I ws doing ok thinking my chances by 6 weeks were ok.
can I be really sure with a test at 12 weeks??? no matter if it's 1 generation?? are you sure old tests are just as effective??? do they use the same tests worldwide??

Please, just answer my last questions and I won't be a bother anymore!! I'm just worried, getting ready to test at 3 months. I just don't know wether the info you post on here applies to my case as much as it does any of the other cases that come from the US.
