5 weeks ago i had what they are calling stress induced cardiomyopathy while on the operating table for something else. My doctor said it was a heart attack and he thinks it was caused by stress. He told me if it would have happened at home i would be dead right now. I am only 47, non smoker, non drinker, a bit overweight but not obese. I am very confused reading my echo report. It says LVEDP is 32mm hg, moderate mitral regurgitation, moderately reduced right ventricular systolic function, moderately reduced left ventricular systolic function with regional variability.
I do not go back to see the cardiologist for another 3 weeks and was told very little in hospital. They put me on blood pressure meds and said i will find out more at my cardiologist appointment. Can anyone give me insight as to what all the wording on the echo means?
