Angina

I had a stent placed in the circumflex 4 days ago and am not feeling any relief.  I am continuing to have tightness over the sternum with any exertion.  I am less short of breath than before the procedure but notice that it is returning when I go up the stairs, do laudry etc.  My LAD is bypassed already.  I am a 46 year old female and have an extensive family history of CAD and early death from cardiac arrest.  My doctor states that everything looked great during and after the heart cath and stent placement.  So, I am very perplexed.  Any ideas?

You should have a followup consultation regarding the stent implant. Does a nitro med provide relief from chest tightness?  Your symptoms are consistant with a heart problem, and you need to have a doctor determine the underlying cause and treat.  To let the condtion go without treatment can cause irreversible damage to the heart cells if there is a heart problem.

Thanks for sharing and if you have any other questions or comments you are invited to respond.  take care,
