when this happens to you.... stop what you are doing and rest. Listen to your body and believe it. Don't think it is anxiety or all in your head, especially since your symptoms are associated with exercise. Trust yourself. If you are pushing too hard, then you probably are about to pass out and you will feel what you are describing.
I also feel this wasy, and if im feeling good and my pulse gets high then I will feel that way the rest of the day, but sometimes I just wake up and feel dazed, dreamy, I call it mario land :) because it feels not real, and I also have days of feeling faint all day. Docs say its my meds but I felt it before the meds, so they said it was anxiety, buy im the most laid back.non anxious person ever, I have also heard its a vitaman deficancy. I think B12. Or magnisum I will have to look it up but I know from going threw this that it is so so terrible, and Im so sorry, but hope can find out what is going on,
I doubt if you have damaged it. Anxiety is not good for the heart at all, society in developed countries seems geared at keeping us fully anxious, which in my opinion is the major cause of heart disease and why it's increasing. All other risk factors are pointless in my view if you are always stressed. I've seen people in hospital with very low cholesterol and normal blood pressure. However, they have lots of disease. The one common factor was their stress levels at home or work or both. My blockages have always coincided with times of high stress. My advice to you would be to learn some relaxation techniques, it will put years on your life.
I have so many risk factors to the heart, family history, obesity, diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, and sleep apnea. I am one messed up individual, but on the road to repairing myself. I have been fighting these diseases for several years and I think I have developed high anxiety with all the fore mentioned diseases. This past wednesday I saw my primary doctor and she prescibed me effexor er to see if anxiety is what I was experiencing. So far it seems those feelings of confusion, dazed, light headedness, the feeling of unrealness is subsiding. yesterday was the first time I was able to complete my time on the treadmill. I still had weird feelings ,but nothing like before. I also did a chest work and didn't feel wierd at all. Had a really good work out. At this point I want to do whatever it takes to get my heart at its best health. What can I do to make sure not to damage my heart any more than what is done?
In many cases the collateral vessels are adequate for the heart to perform medium tasks, but not vigorous exercise. In many cases there is a limit at which you soon realise you have reached. If the blockage in the circumflex artery is causing your quality of life to be poor, then the cardiologist will have to seek other options, such as bypass. If you can lead a fairly good quality of life then this is not worth it. Some people obtain increased opening of collateral vessels over time, especially as you exercise. However, what worries me is, are you causing heart damage when getting angina symptoms and so outweighing the benefits of extra collaterals.
I have a fully blocked LAD, the effort to stent it failed. I too have collaterals. I can't help you to better understand what is happening I can just assure you that the cardiologist is giving you good advice. Are you taking any medications that might cause your symptoms?
