Im a 22 year old female and about at year ago i found out i had a blood clot in my eye, and i continue to get more of them, i have seen tons of specialists and still no answer. i am also borderline enlarged spleen, i have horrible abdominal pain and have never found a cause for it and had an upper Endoscopy and results were fine. im getting very frusterated and would like to know whats going on. I also have head aches all the time and am very very forgetfull sometimes i forget what im saying in the middle of saying it, i get dissy and disoriented and the doctors are trying to figure it out but its been a year and im worried that it could be something extreamly serious. I also live in a small town so my doctor doesnt deal with alot of problems like this so i figure she just might not know what to look for?

Is your blood clot behind the eye in the retina. Maybe a retina specialist can find the cause of the blood clot.  Just a thought.

It is an small hole in the septum (the wall that separates the 2 ventricles).
It is a malformation from birth.

I guess that if you had it, it would have been detected.

Did the cardiologist discarded the possibility of a Patent Foramen Oval (PFO) in your heart?
Was a detailed echo performed?

My sister was diagnosed with it after a trans esophageal echo (TEE).

Have you seen a cardiologist?

Have you seen a neurologist?

Sometimes, the reason for clots are in the heart and the headaches should be controlled by neurologist.

Last December, my sister got an eye clot that left her only with half of the vision in her right eye and often strong headaches. Oftalmologist, Cardiologist and Neurologist are still working on her... they already found a reason on her heart to produce clots ...still looking for more tests to evaluate possible brain damage.

Our presses free healthcare, :) I am Canadian. All I can tell you, that you must be very active about you own case! If you already had seen a thons of specialist as I see, and they don’t have the answer, I would keep going back to the family doctor or get another one if she can’t arrange what you NEED . A new fam doctor ,often better, who lissten all things you are complaning about and will get you the right appointments. You have right to get all, and do not let yourself sake down by one person, you must get as many test as you need to get the answer!
Sending you an encouraging hug.
