Do I need Angioplasty and Stent for LAD diagonal proximal 80% stenosis?

The following is the report of Angiogram.

Left Main : Is normal

LAD: Is a type III vessel and shows mid plaguing. Large diagonal shows proximal 80% stenosis.

LCX: Is a co-dominant vessel and normal. Its OM branches are also normal.

RCA: Is a co-dominant vessel and shows proximal 40% stenosis. PDA and PLB are normal.

Recommendations by doctor in India : Myocardial revascularization

Thanks

Vinay

I am not going to comment on your "abnormal ECG", but I doubt that your neck pain is heart related. Why? Because I have exactly the same problem. During an MRI they noticed a slight protrusion of the C4. Not enough to warrant surgery, but enough to cause problems such as you describe. When you consider that you walk with your legs and not your neck, it's hard to believe, but that's what it is.

Hi Vinay,

Why did you have the angiogram? Do you experience chest discomfort and if so, under what circumstances?

;Hi,
I had a positive TMT test and an abnormal ECG. I also used to have headache on the back side of head after a moderate walking of 15 - 30 minutes.

I also had an angiogram done in Feb 2010 which indicated 30-40 % blockage in the LAD so doctor asked me to go for the angiogram.

Thanks
Vinay
