Ectopic heart beats

Since I can remember although not recognised until an adult after my daughter got them, I have suffered from SVT (Beats at over 200) and once AF, no doubt due to me wifes sad passing on the day of her funeral (Stress?)  Corrected in hospital electrically.  However for the past four days I have been getting frequent bouts of ectopic beats.  Although I don't feel any bumbs I know I am getting them as I just don't feel right in the chest area.  No pains just feel slight indigestion and burbing a lot. (I get that with an SVT) Can last a few hours and several times a day.  I have an OMRON hand held ECG machine which records heart waves and although I can capture the ectopic beat it normally is just after I feel a slight flutter which is one so I must be getting them very frequently to manage to record them as the machine is not held on chest longer than 30 seconds.  Seen consultant who has viewed the Omron ECG results and he confirmed they are ectopic beats and that everyone gets them and they are not a problem but that frequently?  He says I am senstive to them.  Should have asked him more.  They are getting me down a bit as I get up in the morning feeling great and then the feelings in the chest start.  I can't believe they are not an indication of a serious problem?

i feel for you , i to have thoses darn things, since i was 12 now am 51 and they are still with me. i have lived a scared life with them up till about 15 years ago and i got mad, i was tired of them ruining my life so i said STOP and decided to go on about my day with them in toll. yes they still scare me and yes they get on my nerves but i have a great support husband there to help me get throught the bad times. i have had over 3000 a day thats not many to most, but its more than enought for me, and i have the really fast heart beat like yours. i do take a bete blocker for that and it has helped so much through the years. try not to let them scare you to where like me i didnt want to leave my house. its hard to belive that they wont kill you / wear your heart out/ d damage to your heart, but guess what they wont. i have had many many years of them some good years some bad, but everytime i have a echo my heart is perfect, so i know they do not hurt your heart, they are just a pest.   please go see a cardio if you have not and get the test for peace of mind. always here to talk. take care . ps eat less caffine , read labels lots in food.

If you haven't consulted with a cardiologist, I would certainly encourage you to do so. You say a "consultant" viewed the results, but you do not indicate what type of consultant this is. I would certainly want some tests to rule out anyting that needed attention.  The fluttering can be a benign arryhthmia, and the chest discomfort can be indigestion. But heart attack symptoms can mimic indigestion. it's your statement "I just don't feel right in the chest are" concerns me.  Take care, Ally
