An EKG has a low sensitivity rating for heart issues excluding arrhythmia as appropriate.
Worst case scenario you could have a low EF (calculation for left ventricle pumping functionality) causing fluids (edema) to back up into the lungs. Lung edema would cause the symptoms you describe, and not inconsistent with other symptoms you note. You should have a followup with an echocardiogram to determine heart chamber size, rule out hypokinesis, and calculate EF.
Sorry to Butt in on this Thread, but I have had Pain in My Chest Area (near The Heart) for Months and Breathlessness, and with that I Talk and then I find it hard to Breath, and feel like my Deepest Breath is not enough Air.And have had ECG`s and Blood Pressure Taken,I also feel Tired alot My Heart Beats Fast, and then sometimes I Cannot feel it.
My ECG`s came back Normal can I rule out Heart Trouble?
Thanks (From a Depressed Steve)
If the heart rhythm reacts to stress/anxiety depending on mood, etc. that can generally rule out a thyroid or heart problem. A blood test and/or EKG would be the appropriate test if there were a medical problem..
