I have bradycardia, no symtoms along with it.
I started exercising by walking, building up to 1 1/2 -2 miles per day.
We recently got a treadmill and I am looking for what my heart rate should be and what the recovery rate and time is. I did a search on the internet and find conflicting reports. I read your h/r should return to normal in 2 minuets, another should drop a significant amount in 1 minuets but than 2 beats per minuet for time you have exercised. as 15 minuets of exercise, 2 beats per minuet for 15 minuets.
I am 70 years old, heart rate average 55, borderline high b/p, on meds for that.
I was on the treadmill last night, my h/r was 124, within a minuet it was 90 and 5 minuets later was 74, it did not get down into the 50's for about 20 minuets. Is this normal or am I over stressing myself. I exercised for 17 minuets.
Thanks, Line
