Yes it has changed dramatically. I think it started changing about the same time I stopped posting so much. I read the forum for a little while longer, but I was finding some people were ragging on these poor souls who get pvcs like they shouldn't complain about them. I still find it's the best place for information and support. But for me it's a little hard to navigate because it's so different.
I'll let you know the results of the echo. I hope it's picture perfect too. I'm glad you only have occassional pvcs and runs of pvcs. That's encouraging to me because my last resort is ablation. I've been avoiding asking about it, and the doctors haven't suggested it. But how many pvcs can a person have and still be sane for goodness sake. lol.
I'm doing well, thanks. It's been over 4 years since the ablations, and I still only get PVCs now and again. I get an occasional run, but it dissipates very quickly and RARELY go into bigeminy or any pattern.
Yeah, those couplets feel WEIRD!! When I have couplets or runs it feels like my heartbeat is chasing itself. It's like a hamster on a wheel!
I agree with you on getting the echo....I know my doctor and I were surprised when the CM showed up. Hopefully, everything is picture perfect and it'll just be a matter of living with the ectopics (I know you're used to that).
Hey, the forum has added tons of new features...check it out! We can add a profile (as much or as little as you like); we can post journals, pictures and even send private messages to members that have a profile. MedHelp has been upgrading like crazy!
Hope some of the members are able to answer your questions : 0
HELLO!, I hoped I might hear from someone familiar. It has been a long time.
I am in bigeminy most of the time, but it has since increased to couplets, then one regular beat, then three pvcs, then a regualr beat, and sometimes 4 pvcs and a regular beat. UGH. The multiples have only been recently. I took atenolol this morning (half a 25mg tablet). My blood pressure dropped to 105/68 with a pulse of 49. I don't know which is worse!
Neither my internist nor the cardiologist last year seem the least bit concerned. I asked for the echocardiogram because of the possibility of cardiomyopathy. If that's clear I'll count my blessings. It's the lightheadedness that bugs me. The pvc sensations I can live with (mostly). Supplements have helped decrease the sensation but not the frequency.
How are you doing?
HEY THERE!!! So happy to see you posting!!!! (But, sorry about the lingering PVCs). We've missed you : )
You are still having that many PVCs? OMYGOSH! When I was having that many, it was pretty "typical" to be in bigeminy most of the day. Anyway, I'm glad you're having a new echo if for nothing but peace of mind. Has your doctor talked about the possibility of an ablation?
I'm not sure about the shoulder pain and tingling in your jaw, but it would not surprise me if it were anxiety...UGH! I'll be interested to see what others think about the interruption in blood flow...good question!
How long have you been on atenolol? Is that terormin?
Other than the blasted PVCs, I hope you are doing well.
