22 year old male. perfect resting pulse and blood pressure...all the time.
One night after drug use I had heart palpitations for 10 hours...then panic attacks for a couple of weeks and anxiety.
Now all of that is gone. Drug use is definately gone. Cardiologist says my heart is normal and checks out ok.
However, this whole experience has made me very aware of my own heart beat. During the day I CANNOT seem to feel my heart beat while sitting still. If I think about it real hard I might be able to barely feel my heart beating in my chest.
In the evening hours, if I am sitting still, my heart beat tends to beat with a bit more force, and I CAN feel it. This gets aggravating, especially if I try to lay down and go to bed.
When I wake up in the morning, 9 times out of 10 I will NOT be able to feel my heart beat and so this relaxes me. As the day becomes night, however, I usually can start feeling it again.
Why?
It has been 2 months since I have had a cigarette, a drink of alcohol, or touched any drug. In the future I would like to be able to have a drink here and there, but I just dont know....
