Improving your Ejection Fraction

I currently have stents and a ICD implant.  I currently take plavix, coreg, zocor and a blood pressure med.  The stents and ICD were done about 5-6 yrs ago.  At the time my EJ was about 20 and now it is in the low 40's so I am pleased with this but my question is what can I do to get my EJ higher.  It has been flat for the last 2 yrs.  I do exercise daily and watch my diet.

You can increase your EF by strengthening the contractility of the left ventricle.  Exercise can help and diet helps, and it appears you are doing that...it least the EF is not decreasing!  Sometimes there is heart muscle damage that permanently limits heart wall movement from a prior heart attack, and stem cell implants, if appropriate and available, could improve heart wall movement and an increase in EF.
