Has the Ventricular R on T showed on the holter monitor? How many in 24 hours? Was he diagnosed with Long QT Syndrome?
Mine one showed 25 Ventricular R on T on the 24 hours holter monitor. My cardio said, "it didn't make sense!" I don't know what he means? I was diagnosed as "anxiety". No other follow up. Please let me know what is that? What your son being diagnosed? Thanks
Pika.
Torsades de Pointe is associated with the prolonged qt interval. The most common way to diagnose it is to first diagnose prolonged qt, since your child is so young it would probably be congenital and not aquired. It is much more common in females than males. It is often preceeded by bradycardia.. I dont know the statistics on how common it is, but while its not unheard of , its also not that common. It is a type of VT, which effects about 1:10,000 . I hope that gives you a better idea!
