ANY IDEAS PLEASE?

hi guys

few days ago i was out playing with my kids, i played a bit of football. no problems whatsoever and NO shortness of breath.

anyhow, the foll night i woke up with a feeling i couldn't breeth, i didn't read anything into it and quickly went back to sleep.

it happened together with an urgency to use the bathroom, but it went away when my mother phoned and i started chatting to her. it's not like the feeling you get when you exercise and you get out of breath, i was still able to do my usual chores just a feeling like when you see a thriller and cant breath from fear.also it was the same when i was standing or sitting down.

it's happened a few times before always when i am relaxed or sit watching telly or when i first jump to bed and it goes away after a few minutes..

could it be a heart issue? i have done a heart echo 1 year also ( i have mild mvp with mild prolapse ) and last june a cardiogram.i am 33 with hasmimotos underactive). i used to have palpitations and episodes of missed beats etc.. and was told by 3 cardiologists after examination that its anxiety.now though fortunately i have very few.

i do have have some family issues plus anxiety but i'm not sure if this feeling can be attributed there. It doesn't happen every day or from specific routines,

i am non smoker, non drinker 61kgs/1.65height.bp usually 10/6.5- resting pulse 73

thanks

PLS answer me.

It sounds consistant with an anxiety symptom. SOB that improves with exercise often is anxiety (you could be tensing your muscles or shallow breathing without realising it). There are some excellent  breathing exercises on the internet that you could try and see if they help at all. If they don't you could see your doctor again.

Take care.

You may want to do another echocardiogram to check for any change in your heart valves.  Shortness of breath or an out-of-breath feeling could be related to your heart valves.  Also, have your hemoglobin checked to make sure that is high enough aslow blood causes shortness of breath.
