LV dysfunction

I'm 57,male, had a heart attack five months back, diagnosed as CAD AWMI. Left ventricle poor function is observed with a low EF of 26% five months back. I'm on medications for high BP, Cholesterol, diabetes and ofcourse for my heart condition.I do slow paced walking as exercise for half an hour in the mornng and evening. I'm not advised surgical intervention for possible clearance of blocks etc. How long will I survive with medications alone?I do not experience much discomfort presently. Can I hope for a full recovery?

I would think your prognosis would depend to some extent on how much your EF has rebounded.  Have you had this reassessed?

What reason were you given that surgical intervention was not an option?
