Leaky valves post partum

I just delivered via c section a week ago. I had an echo done that showed two leaky valves. Aortic was mild to moderate and Mitra valve was moderate. My Dr did not seem to concerned and said it could be from pregnancy but would these valve have a chance of getting any better? I thought once they leak they will not heal on their own. While I was pregnant in Feb I had a stress echo and that only showed trace leak in my mitral valve. Could pregnancy change it that much in three months?.Heart is strong blood pressure normal as well as HR.

Doctors often note that the most important part of the visit, or the true reason for the appointment, comes at the end, just as the patient is exiting through the door.

In your case, it is that you have what is called a "positive family history."  That--along with your symptoms--is the *first* thing that should be mentioned in an appointment.

I am curious about why you have had several stress echos so recently.  It is rather unusual in such a young woman.
