Ongoing symptoms

I have been suffering since Oct 2007 with what I think might angina symptoms.  I am a 46 year old mother of two daughters, living in the UK.  I had my first experience in Oct 2007 whilst sitting at my desk at work.  It started out as severe pain in my throat, which seemed to graduate up into my jawline and ears.  I had pain/discomfort in my chest also, (akin to what I would describe as severe indigestion).  The whole episode lasted 5-10 mins, leaving me feeling lightheaded & clammy (hands especially sweaty).

I have had several episodes since this first event and was even admitted to Accident & Emergency, after I had an attack whilst sitting at home on the computer.  They performed and ECG, which showed no abnormalities and all bloods were normal...??  When admitted my blood pressure (taken on 3 counts) was 172/90.  I still have fluctuating high blood pressure and also high cholesterol levels.  Hypothyroidism is also another problem I have had for the last 13 years since becoming pregnant with my first child (6 months into pregnancy).  I take 50mcg thyroxine each day.  I have also been diagnosed with IGT, which can be a pre-curser to diabetes mellitus.  I also had gestational diabetes during both my pregnancies (albeit never at very high levels).

With all the above problems, I am obviously concerned that I might be showing signs of a cardiac problem.  Can anyone out there advise me, or tell me if I'm barking up the wrong tree.

Yours, Very concerned,
JanineP

HI Binnie69 this is my story so you don't feel alone and Im based in London UK.
In December 2007,I was taken into ER in UCH London puffing and blowing, feeling dizzy sick and ill.
various tests were done like,CAT chest scan, stress test, echo cardiogram,24 hour tape test and being made to run up and down hospital stairs with a junior doctor! all were reported as normal.(a doctor even rang my GP to ask him if I was a mental case!.????
then one last test a myocardial perfusion scan showed mild ischemia  affecting the Apex, basal lateral and basal septal regions with preserved LV function.

Great now who is the nut?.....can anyone advise me on this please?
I'm still suffering nausea and dizziness with breathlessness.
on a good diet and trying to lose weight.non smoker non drinker/cholesterol is within my labs high normal range.
Waiting on an appointment in September with Cardio team,(yes the same team that said I was a nut)Grrr!
