Question: Can the fact that the left phrenic nerve was damaged and the left diaphragm rendered inoperative have a relationship to my heart which is not acting normally. The heart condition has been the same for years and I believe that the two are related in some way to the trauma that occured when I was in an exploding aircraft and a subsequent ejection at 350mph in Vietnam. A recent myocardial perfusion exercise was done in June and an ejection factor on the left ventricular was 44%. It has been 40 - 44 for years. Also again noted was a T wave inversion and frequent VPC's before and after exercise. I would like to know if there could be a connection between the inop phrenic nerve on the left side and the condition of my heart.
