I have started working out again and when I steped on the scare realized that I have gained 10-11
pounds since my surgery !!!!!!!!! My activity level was low for about 4 or 5 days and then I was about back to normal
and 3even sice it is spring I have been out side every day doing yard work and running with the kids .
Also I have had no diet changes . Has anyone else had weight gain after ablation surgery ????

Hi , Thanks ,  I am tight chest pain and like pain in my neck when I do things .  Bending over seems to be a problem that starts that and then like going up stairs and I even tried to jog and that did not go too well but I am a runner so this almost feels to me worse than the svt episodes I was having because this is every day through out the day but not to the same severity . I had 4 paths ablated and I figure now this one path has to do all the work and maybe that takes time but is it possible this could have changed my metabolisim???? Nothing else has changed and 10 pounds in 5 weeks is crazy!  I have an appointment with the dr for the 17th but i just wondered if anyone has had this happen to them. I was not told of any side effects of the surgery such as weight gain. ????
Thanks so much,

I've had 3 ablations with no weight gain involved. Are you feeling OK? No shortness of breath or coughing or chest pain?  How about your ankles, abdomen? The only thing that comes to mind is some fluid retention problems but not sure what would be causing that. You may want to ask your doctor if this is something to be checked.
