Racing heart beat and vomiting

My daughter is six years old and has been suffering from frequent vomiting for the last 3 years. Her pediatrician had an upper GI done that came back normal and put her on prilosec for GERD. I am concerned that this is not the underlying problem and recently the prilosec doesnt seem to be helping at all and her symtoms have been getting worse. My main concern is her racing heart. You can visibly see her heart pounding in her chest and her heart rate is elevated. She tells me that her heart "bleaping" comes before her nausea therefore leading me to believe that it is the cause of her vomiting. Other symtoms she has are weakness in her arms and legs (she lies on the floor like a dead fish) and she says that her legs are hurting. I dont know if she is confusing pain with weakness or if it is really pain. Her pediatrician has not been as helpfull as I would like insisting that she simply has GERD. I am worried there may be an underlying heart problem. Please help.

Has she been seen by a cardiologist yet? Has her thyroid been checked? What about a rheumatologist? There are some immune disorders that can affect the heart as well. My daughter-in-law has lupus and when she has a flare, she gets sick, tired and her heart acts up. I don't know if lupus affects very young children but I would continue to ask questions. There's something going on, more than a tummy ache. (Plus why would the doc prescribe medicine when her tests came back normal? Grrr)
