Treadmill vs Thallium Test

Ihad an episode of chest pain 6 months ago and went to a local ER. I was admitted and given a Thallium stress test with normal results. I did a follow up this week and found that I had an abnormal Treadmill test with inverted T waves in the recovery stages of the test. What could be the cause and could just being out of shape be the cause. I am a recent ex smoker and am just now getting back in the excercise game...... Thanks

Almost every abnormal test requires further evidence to support a dx. There are numerous reasons for an inverted T wave...it can include ischemia (lack of blood flow due to some blockage), medication can be a cause, electrolyte  Reasons for inverted T waves are numerous and may include ischemia, heart attack, hyperventilation, anxiety, certain medications, electrolyte disturbance (abnormalities in sodium, potassium levels) etc.
