Stent

I just had a stent procedure on Friday Februay 8th 2008 in my rca and had one in my circumflex in June of 2007.  Before the Feb stent I was having shortness of breath, dizzyness and lightheadedness and was on Imdur.  Now it has been 2 days and the dizzyness and lightheadedness is gone, however the shortness of breath is still going on even when I am just sitting? My cardiologists took me off of the Imdur. So my question is it normal to have the shortness of breath and chest discomfort 2 days after a stent procedure?

Do you have any blockages of any degree in any other vessels? It is not usual for angina to be caused by the right side of the heart, it is much more commonly caused by the left. Maybe you have slight blockages in other vessels but they don't see them as a problem "visually". This is why they should use a FFR which detects pressure drops across blockages giving a far more accurate indication of which ones should be treated. Every Cat Lab has such a device but not all cardiologists seem to use them.

I have a total of ten stents and have always had chest discomfort since the first one. I was told I would feel like a million dollors after these proceedures but I have never felt good since the first one at 45 years old. Now 55 I have chest pressure , shortness of breath and pop nitro a few times a week. Everytime I go to the doc it seems I need another. The last two however did make me feel much better but I was having a full blown heart attack and almost bit the dust. Since July 09 I still have discomfort and need the nitro so I think it's just different for different people. Now they found I have a abdominal aorta thats aneurysmal that eventully will need stented before it blows. Seems it never ends once they start.
