Stress Test/nuclear

My report came back "non diagnostic scan". My doctor said it was abnormal but showed no heart disease. So what else could be wrong. I don't see the cardiologist for 6 weeks.

Hello and hope you are doing well.

Inadequate oxygenation can produce symptoms of breathlessness, as the body tries in an effort to compensate for the decreased oxygen supply. The breathlessness could be due to cardiac or lung disorders. Breathlessness on exertion could be due to the decreased lung function. Again in cardiac disorders the heart is unable to pump the blood adequately, more so when subjected to stress like exercise. Certain systemic disorders like anemia, diabetes, vitamin deficiencies and thyroid disorders can cause these symptoms. So, besides EKG and treadmill test, lung function tests could further help in evaluation.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

Thanks for your response. I talked to my cardiologist and he wants to run a echo. And because I become real short of breath, even upon just short exercise he is also sending me for a pulmonary function test.

Hello and hope you are doing well.

It could be a cardiac enlargement or a rhythm abnormality, difficult to predict. Need the detailed report to comment further.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
