My brother had a massive hart attack, it has 2 totally bloc arteries an one bloc 30%, he is not candidate for Open Hart Surgery, his Hart capacity is Only 18%, can some one tell me what fiscal limitations can we spec for him?
18% is very low indeed. I was speaking with a friend of mine who was recently discharged from hospital. He has 12% but at the time of discharge it was 34% and they are going to discuss transplant options. A large area of his heart muscle was killed due to his heart attack so there is no point in bypass or other intervention. Dead muscle does not regenerate. Has your brother been told he has dead tissue, or been given a prognosis or been given options such as transplant if needed? He should have an ICD fitted because there is a very high risk of rhythm problems or cardiac arrest with such a low EF.
