Hi,
TVD refers triple vessel disease. That means all of three coronary arteries have stenosis. Severe TVD is a highly life-threatening conditions and most patients receive bypass surgery. If you do not, the survival rate seems very low. Please ask your attendant furthermore.
Thank you.
The only TVD I am aware of is Tricuspid Valve Dysplasia which is typically a congenital defect of the tricuspid valve which allows severe regurgitation back into the right side of the heart causing a fluid overload which can cause the right atrium and ventricle to become enlarged. Basically, the leaflets of the valve are thickened and can not close properly allowing blood to get pushed back in with each beat. I'm not sure how that fits with angina, but you should be asking their doctor to explain these findings. It may have just been an incidental finding during their angiogram. You may want to Google TVD and see if this sounds like what was seen on his angiogram.
Sorry for your partner's problems, I hope this helps,
Jon
