My husband insists that bp readings of 135/86 on the avg constitute High blood pressure and should be medicated with drugs. He has recently lost weight (240 down to 210 and continuing to lose) and we have just bought a small home gym and Kettler stationary bike. I don't want to nag him, but from everything I have read and conversations with med people, his readings are "high normal" and should not be medicated because of the dreadful side effects such as increased change of diabetes, incr cholesterol, ED, liver/kidney damage, muscle weakness, etc. I can foresee an endless cycle here of chasing side effects with more and more drugs. Am I right and he should thrown the drugs away and continue losing weight....or is he correct?
