Which is better Cardic MRI or transesophageal echocardiogram

Should I have an Cardic MRI or transesophageal echocardiogram .  ??  My echo is good but I might have a leaky valve and am not sure which one to do.

transesophageal echocardiogram is invasive and uncomfortable for most patients. MRI is superior in imaging but with valves the imaging doesn't need to be that clear. So I think it comes down to expense and comfort.

I think the MRI would be superior. Unfortunately it may be expensive! But looking at valves etc it may be better, having said that the trans gets lose to your heart and may suffice your particular test needs
