Hi there. Skipped beats....theres a lot of us with them.
THe heart rythm forum is a great place for you to post. What type do you have..pacs or pvcs? If you get a chance, post over there because the skips are a rythm issue..and they can be due to many things or just have no explaination at all.
Might I recommend you take all your holtor monitor documentation to a different, well experienced cardiologist, where you've interviewed some of their patients in/exiting the waiting room about how well they listen and how seriously they take their patient's concerns? If you find a cardiologist of good reputation, take an organized folder, with the oldest holtor monitor documents to the newest, with the number of skipped beats for each successive test marked so they can see that is happening more regularly now. Also, take a list of your symptoms and how you feel this affecting your quality of life, your tiredness, how it makes you scared, and if it is limiting your normal activities. (Have you also made sure you don't have things that can also make you tired such as low iron in the body, high stress levels, a sluggish thryoid function or sleep apnea at night?)
My grandma long before she went to heaven got a pacemaker and I believe I remember her telling me it was because her heart was skipping beats.
