How long tablet to be taken for BP

I am Hepertensive and I was adbvised Aten25 for 2 years, My BP was 130/90. After two years it was reviewed and prescribed Losatech.It is Beta blocker 50 mg. But inspite of this my BP is 140/90 most of the times. My worry is that whether I should continue the medicine or review? I guess with medicine I should be atleast 130/90. Can any one advise please?

You BP  is marginally high, and the recent  guidelines by the heart health community is to reduce the blood pressrue below 120/80.  For many years 139/90 was classified as pre-hypertension, and not treated aggressively.
