post cath complication

dont know if this is right category but I had a cath done 2 weeks ago and have a small hematoma at groin that is not visible externally but confirmed on ultrasound. Is this a problem that can evolve into something serious?

thanks for reply   there is no external sign, its just that it has been 5 weeks and still a little tender so I guess its just taking its sweet time. Hope it is not some lasting problem.

Hi, its unlikely that a complication may develop. The hematoma will dissolve on its own. However, if you notice an increase in the size of the swelling or if it develops into an abscess, then consult your doctor. Regards.
