skipped beats after eating

Almost every time I eat, skipped heartbeats (palpitations) start up for about 3 hours then kind of goes away. Do you think this is related to sugar or some other ailment (I am not diabetic). At night I'm scared to eat anything but I need to eat to stay alive. I try to eat early so that by bedtime maybe the palps won't be as bad. Any suggestions or advice? Thanks.

When we eat, the digestive tract calls for a considerable demand in oxygen. This extra
demand was enough to trigger heart attacks for me every time I ate. So I can understand
that you may get palpitations when eating. However, palpitations are not generally classed as dangerous, most people get them but don't notice. Before my heart problems I probably had them lots of times but just didn't take any notice. If you think it could be
sugar related, eat a bowl of soup or pasta and see if the palpitations still occur. Some
people confuse the feelings of palpitations with reflux so it may be worth a chat with your
doctor.
