Thanks Cindy - I will have to stay overnight in the hospital's CCU - so probably won't be posting until Saturday/Sunday. I am just counting off the hours now to hopefully getting my life back and being rid of this condition however benign I am told it is, will be interesting to see if it is indeed AVNRT....
Good luck on your procedure and i know the feeling of the tach you get when they stop the meds...mind over matter was all i kept repeating to myself when it happened to me as well before the ablation by the time i was in the prep room all i wanted was for them to hurry up and get me in there so i would stop tach ing out....came out.....no tach....my prayers are with you that you'll come outta there a new girl...........GodSpeed....................
Thanks Debbie - I can't wait to get in there tomorrow and get it over and done with. I have been having rebound tachycardia since coming off Atenolol cold turkey (took it for 15 years) and Digoxin (no problem with that one, only took it for 3 months, EP said it was probably making me worse! Had another episode of PSVT on Tuesday morning - however, avoided another ride to the ER via ambulance - just got to get thru today :) My BP and HR have both gone up so hopefully they will come down after the procedure ... what fun we have to go thru!
I am staying overnight in my son's condo in downtown Toronto, five minutes from hospital. Couldn't get a hotel room anywhere in the downtown core because of the G20 summit - security and volume of traffic already building up. Glad my procedure is tomorrow and not next Friday I have mentioned I don't want to be bumped again - don't want to go thru all this medication withdrawal again.
Thank you all for your support and God Bless You.
