19 years old heart rate tachycardia symptoms re-occuring

I am 19 years old and last week on Friday I was rushed to the Emergency Room for symptoms I was experiencing from an overdose on espresso. When I arrived I was told I was experiencing "tachycardia". My heart rate was beating over 100. I was at bed-rest and given a pill. However I am still experiencing tachycardia symptoms (not currently at hospital).

I was also told that I was underweight and that caffeine overdose will impact me harder than others. Should I just keep drinking more water if the caffeine is not finished flushing out of my body? How long will it take for the caffeine to be out of my system?

I am worried that I need to see a cardiologist. Also, is it possible for caffeine overdose to permanently damage my heart?

A rate a bit over 100 isn't anything your heart can't handle.  There may be some residual anxiety over the whole thing just keep drinking lots of water and do deep breathing.  Drink caffeine in moderation or not at all and maybe just go and get a check up with your doctor making sure they check your thyroid.  other than that just try and get some cardio in and it will help condition your heart a bit more.  take care, you will be fine.

Does that depend on the amount of caffeine you take and what type? Because I took too much of espresso.

Caffeine has a half life of 5 to 7 hours.  By 10 hours, 75% of it is gone.
