AFIB

Afib incident two years ago. Cardioverted and treated with Tikosyn and coumadin. Everything was fine except blood pressure went hi as i could not take a diuretic. Three months ago came off tikosyn and now have irregular heartbeat again. Symptoms normal except for some lightheadedness and a bit tired. Doctor suggests either do nothing or cardiovert again. Treat with propranolol and coumadin.

Any comments or suggestions?

I agree with twinbee.  I have had 4 electro cardioversion, assume that's what we're talking about.  Some lasted as long as 18 months, none longer.  The last one lasted only 2 weeks, so we are thinking about what next, seems electro cardios don't work for me any longer.  Still, I did get long periods of relief using that treatment repeatedly.

If it were me I would want to try cardioversion again. I've had several cardioversions done. In January I had an ablation done and am enjoying NSR ever since.
