Abnormal ECG

Hi i went to doctor on thursday and she sent me to er, they did a ecg and the notation on them say st & t wave abnormality consider inferior ischemia, and the other sayspossible left atrial enlargement, my symptoms have been shortness of breathe (still have), occasional fast heartbeat, the er did a cat scan said it was normal, said i didnt have pulmonary embolism that i probably have anxiety and to go home. well shortness of breathe has been constant for 1 week. no improvement, and im not an axious person, im very laid back. do u have any ideas what could be going on, any thing i do cause shortness of breathe to increase, things that im use to doing all the time is hard now.

GranRon is absolutely correct. Try to see a cardiologist or cardiac electrophysiologist (specialist in heart rythym issues).

Did you go to your doctor for the shortness of breath sysmtoms?  I am assuming that is what you did and she sent you to the ER as a precautionary measure.  Do you have health insurance and, if so, do you need a referal to see a specialist?  You should let your doctor know that you are still experiencing discomfort and get a referal to see a cardiologist.  You should probably have further tests done to try and isolate the problem, if there is one.  One more thing, have your doctor explain to you what the results of the ECG were and ask any other questions that are relevant to it.
