Elevated Heart Rate

I had a busy weekend spent 6 hours at the pool yesterday.  I have been tired all day today, I tried taking a nap but it wasn't much of one.  I've checked my bp with a home monitor an my bp was ok but heart rate was 106.... What could that mean?!?!  Could my monitor be wrong?!?!  I'm really worried!!

You may have over exerted. I cant say for certain.

Its common for runners when they over exert to have problems with sleeping, higher than normal resting heart rate, and feeling blue, or feeling a little sick.  If this is what is going on, rest up and baby yourself for a few days. It  goes away, then you should recover with greater aerobic strength.

Well my heAt rate is back to normal but I just don't feel right, it's hard to explain.  Earlier my lower eye lid was twitching but it only happened once an I have no clue why.  I couldn't hardly sleeplast night either!  I just don't know what to do anymore....

It's common for the heart rate to increase now and then. First, I strongly suspect you are stressing yourself when using your BP monitor, so that will contribute to an elevated heart rate.

There are lots of explainations why your heart rate was elevated, but the relevant question is; why does it matter? If your heart rate suddenly is in the 150s or higher, of course see a doctor, but slight increases like 106 are nothing to worry about if you otherwise feel OK and it doesn't go on for days and weeks.

Personally, I think the last three words in your post explain it: "I'm really worried!!". This worrying will contribute to keep your heart rate and blood pressure elevated. Please also see my answer on the blood pressure community.
