NSVT

Hi everybody,

Does anyone know why NSVT doesn't continue and turn into VT if your heart is otherwise healthy? My doctor just said it almost never does and not to worry about it. I would love to have an answer for a little more peace of mind.  Thanks!

I just wanted to thank you for your very considerate replies - your comments really mean a lot to me and to the others in this forum.

Maybe NSVT is a bit of a mystery - I'll ask my doc the next time I see her.

Hello...

The heart and the way it behaves is somewhat mysterious...I know it is an unsettling feeling when you don't have an actual "cause&effect" answer.  Did you ask your physician to be more specific with you?

I am not sure if there really is an answer for that one excpt what your Dr told you. Maybe I'm wrong and someone here will have just what you're looking for.

I hope you get an answer:)

I was wondering if anyone knew the specific mechanism that prevents NSVT from turning into sustained VT. What makes a healthy heart click back into normal sinus rhythm? Any thoughts? Thank you!

I feel a lot better when I have a specific reason why something doesn't happen instead of just being told that something is rare but with no real explanation.

Hello...

I think that you pretty much answered your own question:) NSVT usually does not progress to VT if you have a good, healthy heart. I am not saying that it doesn't ever happen, but it would be considered a very rare event.

If your Dr has told you not to worry, than I wouldn't worry over something that is remotely possible.

I hope that you are able to get peace of mind:)
