i suffer from migraine/headaches, which have been subdued by other medication. i sometimes take an NSAID called naproxen, which is like three ibuprofen in one. this never effects my palpitations or tachycardia, but i can see how it could for some people. i guess it depends on each person. i had asked my cardio about this, as i take these drugs a lot, and he was not concerned about them hurting me. if a drug like that seems to be a trigger though, then it would be best to avoid it.
hope you feel better!
I looked up Ascriptin on the internet and it is a non-steroidal antiinflammatory drug (NSAID) that contains some aspirin. I take a beta blocker, atenolol, and NSAID's are recommended to avoid. I take aspirin and tylenol for pain when I need. If you read about this medication, it recommends to be careful if you have any heart problems. Aspirin, is probably okay, as is not an NSAID. However, check with your doctor of pharmacist before starting any new medication. Hope this helps.
